Travel Tips
Come on Down!
Travel to St. Lucia is easy. Enjoy direct and non-stop flights from many major US, Canadian, and European cities. Most international flights arrive at St. Lucia's Hewanorra International Airport (UVF), located in Vieux Fort, an approximately 60-minute drive to the resort. Regional carriers and private planes fly into St. Lucia's George F.L. Charles Airport (SLU), located in Castries, about 10 minutes from the resort. Taxis are easily available at both airports. We always recommend arriving at the airport at least two hours prior to your flight for international travel.
Airport Transfers
If you do not have pre-arranged airport transfer, have no fear. Airport transfers can be prearranged by Elite Island Resorts or your travel agent. Taxis are easily available at both airports. For adventurous travelers, helicopter transfers are also available from Hewanorra International Airport (UVF) to George F.L. Charles Airport (SLU). Transfers can also be arranged locally with our preferred taxi service upon request. We also have a fully staffed booth just ourside of Customs at Hewanorra International Airport to assit you on arrival.
How's the Weather?
Ahhhh..warm, sunny, and tropical with lovely breezes! Bring your swimsuit, hat, sunglasses, sunblock, sandals, and warm weather clothing. We also recommend sun-block lotion for days at the beach or pool. In the winter months, we can get some cool breezes at night so you may want to bring a long sleeve shirt, or a light sweater or windbreaker. For today's weather, click here.

Passports Please
Passports are required. We strongly recommend that all guests travel with a passport validity date of at least six months past the date of departure from the island and check specific country of origin requirements. For information on obtaining or renewing a US passport please visit the US Department of State. For information on UK passports, visit the HM Passport Office. In our current times, passports are the most expeditious and reliable form of identification when traveling domestically or internationally.
